YMCA - Youth Sports Programme
The kura usually enters teams in the local youth sports programmes. The YMCA junior league offers a variety of sports that our tamariki can be involved in. These sports includes basketball, indoor soccer and flag football. Junior Leagues are based at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua.
Each term pānui will be sent to whānau seeking interest and/or registrations for sports being offered. Information about teams and games can be found under the relevant tab.

Flag rugby

Kī-ō-rahi
Starts on 24 February at Onepoto Park and will be on every Wednesday until 31 March, 2021. Kiwi Kids Tryathlon
We still have time to register your child for the earlybird Kiwi Tri held in Lower Hutt on the 17th March. If you are registering or interested in registering - we are working towards getting some sponsorship to help with registrations. So please let Evelyn know if you would like your child to be pre-registered, we can confirm this list in week 1 next year. It would be beneficial for your child to begin training in mid January of 2021.
This year we have our Senior netball (Year 9-13) playing in the Kapi Mana Netball competition and our Primary netball playing in the Ngāti Toa Netball competition.
The kura also has an MoU with Mana College this year allowing our Wharekura students to trial for the Mana college sports teams. For more information please see Matua Keanu.
